The objective of this article is to analyze the reasons for the agreement to normalize relations between Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain through the so- called Abraham Accords, generating one of the most important geopolitical changes in recent years in the Middle East. The following factors will be analyzed, first of all the Trump administration’s support for the negotiation process, encouraging the parties through aid and concessions. Secondly, the threat from Iran and the shared fear of these countries for the progress of the Iranians in the region and, finally, the impact of the Arab Spring.
