Abstract

Starting from the complex socio-economic-legal situation that the LGBTTTI community is going through in Latin America, framing it as a hypervulnerable consumer (particularly trans people), this paper aims to review the legal-constitutional-conventional mandate that orders the State Argentine, in terms of human rights, to guarantee decent and non-discriminatory treatment to the LGBTTTI community in the field of consumer relations. The specific protective regulations will be highlighted and cases will be mentioned (in the areas of health, rentals, tourism and sexist advertising). It is intended to make a modest contribution to the right of consumers, emphasizing that the gender perspective must transversally permeate this branch of law.
