Abstract

The purpose of this text is to expose the political violence that affects women as a highly relevant problem, which creates an unfair environment that limits their free development in this field, and also brings with it personal and professional consequences. These repressions are present in the Antioquia region of Colombia and, as an example, the case of Nataly Vélez is mentioned. On the other hand, Colombian legislation is used as a point of reference to carry out an analysis, to be able to distinguish possible gaps, and to identify the cultural barriers present. The general objective is to expose a frame of reference, which proposes the foundations for a juridical social innovation, created from the recognition of the situations that feed back political violence against women, in order to reduce that which threatens the integrity and dignity of women involved in politics. The methodology used includes the extraction of information and its analysis, in addition to reflecting on Colombian legislation. Finally, it is concluded that a proactive disposition is necessary, which allows making significant contributions to these problems that limit social growth. Since, as future generations, we must contribute to these concerns and, in this sense, lead us to a more modernized society.
